Abhishek Sharma was born on 4 September 2000 in Amritsar. He started playing cricket when he was just 3 years old and his father Raj Kumar himself used to give him cricket training. His father Raj Kumar Sharma works in a government job in Bank of India.

At one time, his father Raj Kumar Sharma also used to play a lot of cricket, due to which he used to make Abhishek Sharma practice cricket. Abhishek Sharma’s mother Manju Sharma also has two elder sisters and he is the only son in his house.

Abhishek Sharma’s cricket career started when he was only 3 years old. Then his father Raj Kumar Sharma used to give him complete information about cricket, what happens in cricket. He started telling Abhishek Sharma all the details about cricket, because he wanted his son to become a cricketer, because he too had played cricket earlier.

Abhishek Sharma’s father Raj Kumar Sharma used to bring him to Gandhi Ground in the morning and evening for practice, after which he gradually got a chance to move forward in the cricket field.

Debuted in Vijay Hazare Trophy from Punjab in 2017

Abhishek Sharma’s luck changed when he got the opportunity to debut in Vijay Hazare Trophy from Punjab in the year 2017, in which he performed very well. In the year 2017 itself, he got a chance to debut in the Ranji Trophy as well as in the first class match.

He won everyone’s heart with his batting and bowling, due to which he was made the captain of the Indian team for the 2019 India Under-19 World Cup. The Under-19 team made India the winner by defeating Sri Lanka in the final. For this reason, he was included in the Sunrisers Hyderabad team in the Indian Premier League (IPL) option.

Abhishek Sharma was included in the Delhi Capitals team in the 2018 auction. While Abhishek Sharma was not given a chance in Delhi Capitals, due to which he stayed in Sunrisers Hyderabad from 2019 to 2024. He used to bowl as well as bat for Hyderabad. When IPL 2024 started, he was seen opening with Head for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
